Program Degree Requirements

At Faith Christian College, we understand our students are coming to college with different goals in their education. We offer different levels of degrees to meet the needs of our students.

Associate of Theology

This program is suited for the student wanting more training in his or her knowledge of the  Bible to help with their servanthood in the local church. This program includes the foundational courses for studying Theology.

Requirements for this program are as follows:

  • Two year program
  • Complete 60 credits
  • All students begin in Track 1, regardless of transfer credit status, and must complete 30 credits in the Track before moving on to Track 2
  • Must complete Strategic Service Practicum each year

Bachelor of Theology

This program is suited for the student wanting to increase his or her church involvement to a leadership role. This program provides a broad selection of topics for further Theological education.

Requirements for this program are as follows:

  • Four year program
  • Complete 120 credits
  • All students begin in Track 1, regardless of transfer credit status, and must complete 30 credits in the Track before moving on to Track 2, and the same up through the subsequent Tracks
  • Must complete Strategic Service Practicum each year

    Master of Theology

    This program is suited for the student interested in pastoring or teaching and a deeper knowledge in Theology, including a specific topic chosen by the student for an in-depth research thesis.

    Requirements for this program are as follows:

    • 1 ½ year program
    • Must complete the Faith Christian College Bachelor of Theology program before entering the Master of Theology program
    • Complete 36 credits
    • Must complete Strategic Service Practicum
    • After the student completes the in-class courses, he or she will register for the Masters Thesis course (6 credits) to research and write his or her Masters Thesis

      Doctor of Theology

      This program is suited for the student who wants to develop college curriculum and instruct others on the newly developed curriculum. This program is geared toward the student who can work independently and on a timeline to research theological topics and present them to others in an educational and engaging manner.

      Requirements for this program are as follows:

      • 3 year program
      • Must complete the Faith Christian College Bachelor of Theology and Master of Theology programs before entering the Doctor of Theology program
      • Complete 75 credits
      • Graduate level courses are denoted with a 5000 level course number (ex. TH5501)
      • Graduate level courses involve increased coursework requirements beyond the Undergraduate requirements for the course
      • Must complete Strategic Service Practicum each semester for the first 2 years of the program (SSP5503-5506) 

        Audit

        This program is suited for the student who desires to increase his or her knowledge of the  Bible, but does not want to pursue a degree in Theology. A student who is registered in the Audit program attends classes and contributes to class participation, but is not required to complete assignments or the Strategic Service Practicum. Audit students who complete 9 courses during the school year will receive a Certificate of Completion for the Track they completed during the year. Any courses that are completed as an Audit course must be taken again if the student chooses to pursue a degree in Theology.
